HWB and HHB are precision API insert pumps with either a cup or mechanical bottom anchor (hold-down). Recommended for deep wells with low fluid levels, these pump assemblies are installed in the well on the end of the sucker rod string and seated in the seating nipple installed in the tubing string at a predetermined depth.
The upper ball and seat in the traveling unit gives the pump a two stage effect. On the downstroke, the fluid load is taken by this ball and seal allowing the traveling valve to open sooner, preventing gas lock.
Pressure due to fluid load in the tubing acts on the 0.0. of the barrel and the 1.0. of the barrel above the plunger.
HWB – designed for use in shallow depth wells
HXB – designed for use in deeper depth wells
HHB – designed with heavy wall barrel and extension for stroke through configurations
